Nonsense. My goal is to put as much shit on my face in a day as my face can possibly absorb. All this crap about relaxing with a face mask? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Face mask while brushing teeth, flossing, putting on jammies and going potty. Ladies, time is of essence. Get it in.

I never ever thought I'd find good stuff at Target, but I was in a pinch and now I absolutely love everything, and I mean everything, by Versed. In particular the eye rescue cream, the tightening serum and the moisture cream. The lip balm and eye brightening cream are great too.

I used to buy May Coop - the prices aren't dissimilar. I was just really shocked to find seemingly high quality and certainly effective skin care at Target.

FWIW I'm 47 and fair skinned with a fair amount of sun damage.

It sounds like a lot when you list it like this, but really most people are using cleanser, moisturizer, spf. Sometimes a seperate eye cream. That's not that much.

50 and the friend known for meticulous care of her skin, starting at around 12. I had to, as I had terrible eczema flares and extremely dry skin. Dove and Ponds have been nearly lifelong staples for me.

Shower/a.m.:
Dove soap head to toe
Nivea in shower body lotion (shea butter)
Rosehip oil (4-5 drops) alone or mixed with
Garnier Clearly Brighter spf 30
Bare Minerals mineral makeup w SPF

Evening:
Pond's cold cream - let sit, tissue off
Rosehip oil
Neutrogena Hydroboost moisturizer (although using up last container of this) prefer for p.m.:
Neutrogena Deep Moisture Night Cream - gentler and more moisturizing/noticed some irritation and dry spots w/ Hydro boost

Once a week; Neutrogena Hydroboost facials - either the sheet masks or the mini tub

Also: hats and sunglasses and SPF year-round.

Well, scrub and hydrate. I follow these 2 steps only. To me, this is the best skin care routine. It doesn’t take me much time and skin is clear and shiny. I don’t think that too much cosmetics will do good to my face, that’s why I have chosen only this to steps. Well, of course, in the evening, I have to take everything off my face, but are I still hydrate it. It also depends a lot on your skin type. If your skin is dry, you need to do one thing, and if it is greasy, you need to do another thing. Water and face wash will work great for anyone, though!

You need to treat the cystic acne separately, whether through oral or topical antibiotics. Cystic acne is pretty normal as we age due to changing hormones.

I was able to combat cystic acne through dermatologist prescribed topicals. I didn't need antibiotics.

I’m 43 with fair sensitive skin.
I’ve always stuck with the rules of
Vitamin c during the day
Vitamin a ( retinol) at night
Moisturize on top.
So...
Wash: origins checks and balances
Day: timeless vitamin c serum
Night : Rory nightly defense ( online perscription)
Moisturizer: body shop aloe soothing night cream
Sunblock: Dr. Jartt bb cream / vanicream

I will say that I need more now. I’m not sure what but my tried and true system for good skin is starting to fail me as I March toward 50.

Pm:

Cleanse: double cleanse with BR Lait U
Oil: Province Apothecary custom oil blend (not occlusive, sinks in well)
Treatment: Retin-A 0.05%
Moisturize: Avene tolerance, emulsion in summer, creme in winter. If super dry I add some Avene cicalfate to the driest spots.
