Why are there always so many blue collar men at 7-11?

To pick up uppity white chicks.

I haven’t been in a 7-11 since I quit smoking 8 years ago. What would I buy at 7-11 that I can’t get at the grocery store? What would I need there that would justify parking and another errand? I can’t remember the last time I went into a gas station convenient store either.

Failed Troll has FAILED.

Again.

I wouldn't call them "blue collar" but rather very marginal unemployed, homeless, and drug-addicted people. And I wonder this as well - why are 7/11s a magnet for this stuff (always an aggressive panhandler outside as well)? What are they selling that's the draw? In my neighborhood, there are several grocery stores that sell all the same stuff at the same or cheaper prices. Is it just the cigarettes and lottery tickets that's the draw?

Just say it OP, you want to know why the day laborers hang around 7-11. They're hoping to get picked up for a temporary and under the table/cash payment. They'd hang around home depot if they could, but get shooed away there so 7-11 is more ubiquitous and more likely the place to be hired.

Do you live under a rock?

OP, why do you go to 7-11 as opposed to the grocery store? Perhaps it's a quick in and out? Maybe you/they like 7-11 coffee? Maybe, just maybe they are there for the same reasons as you. GASP! You might have something in common with these tattooed blue collar workers (the horror, blue collar!!!).

If you live in DC on the Hill, you know full well that 7-11 attracts a "special" clientele. I wonder what the draw is as well.

Ok, now I want to ask why do so many people of this demographic smoke (not e-cigs but actual cigs) and have huge body/neck tattoos and eat and drink so unhealthily? I find it fascinating.

Big homeless favorite too, no?

I don't know the answer to your question except to say, I never really go to 7-11 or convenience stores like that.

Really? You never have to stop off and pick up a gallon of milk on the way home? You never have a craving for a Twix bar? It just seems like the type of place that everyone would ultilize, yet it seems like the population you typically see there isn't an acurrate cross section of the population at large?

They are there for the coffee and chili cheese hotdog, same as you op.

[/b]Yes the real question is why OP was there.

??? Well, I stopped off after driving my daughter to school to pick up a roll of toilet paper because we are running low and I'm not going to go to a grocery store till the weekend. I stopped off there for the exact same reasons that anyone else would go to a convenience store for.

No, I would go to Trader Jo's or the corner store down the block that doesn't have panhandlers outside of it.

So what happens when you realize your low on milk, do you actually go to a full blown grocery store just for that?
