DS, 8th grade
75days and climbing. He found his brother in December after a violent suicide attempt and is in intensive therapy + modified schedule for that. DS also has a neurological condition that’s contributed about 20 days of the total. |
3rd grader, no absences. But he’s got his eye on he perfect attendance award now, so I’m convinced he’ll come down with something now. |
0 so far for our 2nd grader; this is typical. However, will miss a day next month for a relative's graduation. I feel bad breaking her streak, lol. |
DS maybe 3 or 4 for illnesses. DD1 has missed probably 7 or 8. DD2 is on 8 days today and tomorrow will be 9. DS2 has missed maybe two days of preschool all year. This has all been from being sick. |
I am so sorry, PP. I have a child who has missed all but a few days due to a suicide attempt. The collateral damage to the family is really tough. |
(hugs) Good luck to you and your family. I hope that you are able to find a way to heal your family and your kids are able to regain their footing and live long and happy lives. Sorry you are dealing with this. |
Sending both of your families love. |
DS1 - 0 days
DS2 - 1 day They are about to miss 2 days for a family trip. It's just the luck of the draw. One year they missed almost 15 days, with half or so due to illness. |
2 children, each 8-10 days total due to an assortment of illnesses. |
DD in PK3 has missed 5.5 days: 2 for family funeral; 3 for illness (1 day for 1 and 2 days for another); and got sent home early once because of a rash "requiring dr's sign off" (just an aggravation of eczema, which we and they know she has; annoying/overreaction but not worth fighting them on). |
Finishing 2nd grade - has never missed a day in 3 years.
Other kid in last year of preschool - misses a day or two a year. |
One or two. 2nd grader |
I think 7 or 8 days - stomach things and flu. |
Too many. 18 I think. Not a sick kid but dad let him stay home too easily. |
0, but will miss the last 2.5 days. |
