OMG I LOVE JUVEDERM

consider Vobella (technically, Juvederm Vobella). It's the newest type of lip injection and it's super pliable and absolutely does not create duck lips. It's very very subtle — so much so that you might ask yourself why you just spent $800+ to look about the same. But, it does help smooth out aging lips and kinda smooth out those lines/furrows within the pigmented part of the lip, without creating puff.

this describes the main types of lip injectables.

Thanks!

It was $530. With BD rewards and promotions I paid a touch under $400.

It lasts 9 months to a year.

40.

It generally lasts 9 months to a year so you wouldn't do it multiple times per year unless something has gone wrong.

It also stimulates growth in the skin, so when you stop you're better off than if you hadn't ever done it.

I think age 60 is a good time to quit.

Np. 650 and up to a year. I have a fast metabolism and for me its around 8 months.

Shit is the reason Botox last forever on me slow metabolism??

NP. People metabolize fillers at different rates. I’m not sure if filler metabolism is linked to digestive metabolism. But maybe someone else here knows?

But for people who don't think that any amount of filler is a terrible idea, any other tips?

I'm the first poster on this thread after OP. My friend had crazy deep 11s by the time she was only 30, it's just genetic. She looked so much better with filler, she looked perpetually angry with the lines. I don't think it's a horrible idea. I think sticking to 2 areas is a good rule to not over do it . I've yet to see lips I actually like. I have thin narrow lips but won't do filler bc it always looks fake

OP here. I personally wouldn't do lips (I have very full lips and would look cartoonish if I added to them). But a friend of mine does a small amount in her lips and it looks natural. I think a lot of people just get greedy and it looks bad

I've gotten botox for years but fillers seemed like a big leap. It did feel really bizarre having them put in, but I can't believe how much better I look. Love, love, love how I look now. I have them in my smile lines.

Is there any other injectable I should be considering? Or other procedure?

I love Juvederm as well. I'm thinking about giving up Botox and only doing juvederm. Can't afford to do both.

fillershave crosssd my mind but seem like too much maintenance

Bellafill cannot be dissolved if you don't like it. And it will last for up to five years. That means if something is a little bit off about the injection, you're living with it for a long time.

bfill poster here this is not rocket science, I had the mouth creases getting deeper coming off the nose area framing the mouth aka smile lines, Juvederm filled these in nicely until it was gone Bellafill is a longer lasting very similar performing filler. I also had a dent where my "11's are between the eyes in line with the brow.. botox somewhat helped there but did Bellafill there as well..dent fixed ( that particular area I still get botox as the 11's and the dent were separate and if I stopped btx it would not look as good in that area.

Even so, PP, if the injector makes a mistake you're living with it for 5 years. With juvederm, they can dissolve it instantly.

Which Dr.? Thanks!

Do not do filler in the 11s! Botox only. Read up on the danger triangle of your face and only see very qualified people for this.

But yes OP, it’s awesome for smile lines and I’m glad you’re happy!

I get 1 syringe of Juvederm in my lips every 5-6 months. I had a really thin top lip and it just enhances the top and bottom. I can't even say they are pouty. I just have a little more lip. Only person who knows I do it is DH. Duck lips happen when you start doing 2-3 syringes. Vollbella is a great option for the mouth area. I chose not to get it because I don't have "smokers lines" yet and it's more expensive. A good injector / consult will never let you look over done. I asked mine where else I could use some and she said I don't need it anywhere else yet. I do get Botox in my 11s.
