I’m 37 and thought this was one of those movies (I & II) that were required viewing before you were allowed to tell anyone your opinion on any movie ever. It’s the measuring stick.
My boyfriend in college (now DH) hadn’t seen them and I remember wondering if we should continue on in our relationship. We then did a proper Godfather marathon. |

When Michael says to Fredo, " I know it was you. You broke my heart." Oh, gets me every time. Did you know John Cazale was in five movies over 6 years before dying of cancer, and EVERY ONE was nominated for Best Picture. Unbelievable. |
