I highly recommend Grantchester.

PP, again. Next on my own list to watch— National Treasure:Kiri, which stars Sarah Lancashire, who was brilliant in Happy Valley and Last Tango. I also just added River to my watchlist, which was recommended to me. National Treasure is on Hulu.

LOVE Sara Lancashire! Thank you!

I like those shows, too, as well as Grantchester, and I just watched and really enjoyed Shetland.

Older, but also good, are Foyle's War and Luther. You might also like The Bletchley Circle, which is technically a period piece like Grantchester, but really a crime drama. Prime Suspect is good, too.

I've seen write-ups about Foyle's War. Thank you! Had not heard of Prime Suspect before. So much to add to my ever growing list.

George Gently - its done now but I think there are 5 or 6 seasons and its brilliant, like Endeavor but set in the North (also set in the 60s).

A Place to Call Home is not British (it's Australian), but it's wonderful! I love all the British shows you've mentioned too!

An Honorable Woman. It is truly amazing! Watch it now.

Obsessed with Endeavor on Amazon. Just finished and cannot wait for new season. I’ve watched 80% of those mentioned above and it’s best.
