I was just out in Bethesda (yes, I know that’s not Damascus) and the roads are totally fine. As it warms up in the next hour it will get better.

It seems the MCPS website has crashed. It is snowing pretty hard in Rockville at the moment. All the side streets are covered in snow. Honesty surprised they didn't cancel, but things hopefully will be fine. Expect fender benders and loads of buses and teachers to be late, though.

The temperature is dropping, here in the Siberian Hinterlands. It was several degrees above freezing at 6 am. Now it's just below freezing.

I don't know about what you guys are seeing. We are in Potomac, and the snow is coming down pretty hard and it's sticking. Wonder when it is the latest that MCPS can make changes if they decide to close schools.

They just closed. Boy did they screw this up. All the surrounding jurisdictions called it awhile ago. I don’t envy them the screaming and complaints they will get but they deserve it. Some teachers and high schoolers we’re privy already there or on their way. Buses will have to turn around.
