Things to avoid at Aldi

For the record, all shredded cheese has some starch added to it. That's what keeps the shreds from clumping together. Grate your own for a much better product.

I like their cheese and coffee.

Produce has been hit or miss. And some of the canned foods also.

The garlic was fantastic

The ground turkey was awful

Tomato pesto
Tomato sauce (Premium Select)
Frozen Ravioli
Raspberry jam
Brie
Stacie’s pita chips knock off
70% dark chocolate
Pain au chocolat (same brand sold at WF for double the price and leds product)

What's wrong with the berries?

Mt husband didn't like the half & half (used as creamer in his coffee). I think he said it was too watery.

Most of the frozen prepared meat. They contain high amaounts of meat substitutes. The canned soups are not good either, I can taste the can. Juice and creamer tastes awful. Most of the fruit and vegetables that I've tried have an offputting taste. The cheeses that are made here are bland but the european cheeses are good, I also like their pasta, Brioche, chocolates, european sausages and thin cut meat.

I should have specified that I didn’t like their strawberries, I bought them several times in season and they were tasteless.

What's wrong with the berries?

There is no way you're both picky about produce and happy with the produce from Aldi.

We've had terrible fruit but decent vegetables. The fruit has tasted like they inject it with water.

The gluten free pasta is cheap for a reason. Really hard to cook without turning to mush, unlike more expensive brands.

Microwave popcorn is disappointing. Still love Aldi.
