Do you eat oatmeal?

Quaker instant here too. I love how easy it is for breakfast or a snack and there are so many ways to make it different- brown sugar, maple syrup, any fruit, apple sauce, protein powder...

I just started having steel-cut overnight oats. They are much chewier than old fashioned oats, but I love the texture. I use 1/4 cup each of the oats and whole milk. In the morning, I add one banana, 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/2-1 cup frozen blueberries, and a lot of cinnamon. I let it sit to allow the berries to thaw. It’s delicious!

Anonymous wrote:Yes. Quaker instant - it comes in a tub. I bring it in a little baggie to work and then make it with the hot water from the coffee machine. A few times a week. I put a little butter and cinnamon in my baggie at home, then at work pour a little milk in. I eat a piece of fruit too, and that's my breakfast.

I wish I could have steel cut, because apparently it's healthier (I don't understand how), but I can't find an instant version where I could just add the hot water like I do now.

Steel cut is healthier because it’s nit as processed as ‘old fashioned’ or instant. That’s why you have to cook it for about 30 minutes .

Yes, about once a week in the fall and winter. I make Quaker old fashioned at home, but what I really love is the really soft stuff you get in cafeterias and places like Au Bon Pain. I can’t seem to get that same texture at home.

Yes for lactation.

Quaker instant made with water and sweetener (honey or brown sugar). I just started having it daily for breakfast as part of a dietary change. It's gross but filling.

I like making muesli. Mix dry oats with a bit of coconut oil, syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, along with any seeds or nuts you’d like. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Crunchy oats!

I've been doing overnight oats in the fridge, warming them up and adding some nuts and sliced banana. Delicious.

Old fashioned oats

Little bit of sugar (per your tastes)

Microwave 2 min 30 sec, no need to stir ahead of microwaving.
Can add other ingredients as you like

I only like overnight, slow cooked oatmeal. I add raisins and a little brown sugar, maybe maple syrup. A touch of cream if it’s calling to me.

Just started eating McCanns Steel cut instant oatmeal. It's a little pricier but really good. I eat it plain.
