Why do people eat panera bread

and it's more 'real food' than other places. Meaning its plain, but their smoothies are real yogurt and strawberries, not some chemically mix that McD's does (which is delicious, but gives me guilt giving it to my child). So, while we don't eat out a lot, its an option that at least let me pretend that I am giving real food to my children.

It is gross and their hiring standards are awful. The employees aren't very polite and at times they gross me out. Where as Chick fil A and Culvers pay their employees more and hire very solid clean cut people.

The only thing I'll eat at Panera is the breakfast spinach artichoke souffle thing. $4. After 10+ visits of being pissed off I avoid it as much as possible. It's all tasteless microwaved crap at ripoff prices.

Panera hasn't been "real" in like 8-10 years. Wall Street greed has them cutting EVERY corner.

I made a copycat Panera broccoli cheddar soup yesterday and it was pretty tasty. I never have occasion to go to one of their shops though.

I used to really like Panera, and would grab lunch there a couple times a month. Over the last few years, it seemed like the quality of the food has gone down while prices rose. I haven’t eaten there in about a year. I miss the old Panera.

idk what they do to their coffee but both Panera and Einstein Bros. coffee makes me soooooo wired and jittery.

No other coffee place gives me that feeling.

Recipe? This is the only thing I eat there and it's so good.

I crave that soup all year. So glad it is back.

Hypocrite much? “They don’t pay well but don’t have good employees....and food is bad, but I only go and get this one thing, but only sometimes.”???....

They have made it incredibly convenient. Run in and grab it off the shelf or delivery.
It is not my favorite and I do feel it’s expensive, but there are several good options I like. Those claiming it’s all gross are just being snobby. You can find something there you like, and if not you’re the problem.

Yes, it can’t possibly that quality has gone down. My standards have not changed..their food has.

If you don't like it, don't go - leave more room for the rest of us .

They sell Panera soup at Sam's Club

It is because they dropped their St. Louis Bread Co standards.
