Seems like a step down.
Superintendent to consulting -- ok, you can make more money for less headache. |
I noticed that too so much for trying for more integration and neighborhood schools. At least he's honest DCPS needs to focus on the kids that need the most help. If your kid doesn't need help they are going to most likely be better served in a charter or private. |
This is so f'd up. It should be a requirement, I'm sorry but you're running the damn schools? Use them! Or GTFO! |
| I truly hope this Mr Kihn is scanning the net for mentions of his name and finds this any any other threads that are highly skeptical of what he can bring to DC, Mr McKinsey and Private school. |
| Another Q: Paul Kihn, should we close Ballou and convert it to charter? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2014/04/11/the-new-school-reform-model-dumping-the-losers/ |
| I wonder if he started with his kids in public before switching (I did this), or whether he went straight to private. That way he would at least have some experience with DCPS and a sense of what the possible deficits/areas to strengthen are. |
I think when he moved to DC from Philadelphia he put them straight into private. Wonder if he ever used public school there. |
Where has any DC leader shown that this is what they are trying for other than in your own head? |
| I can see your points. Then again, consider where it got us expecting every single leader have their kids in public schools... I'd much rather they stay honest. |
| Any relation to Greg Kihn? |
Yeah, that worked so well for Antwan Wilson. |
DME is in charge of public and public charters its 50/50 |
We're talking about public vs. private. Try to keep up. |
