what do you do when you feel the weight creeping on?

This is me too. High metabolism, thin until 40. Now I'm 45 and have put on 5lbs a year. 25lbs! I'm down 10lbs in the two months. I'm using Tap and Track app to track calories and exercising 4x week - most my schedule can handle. Diet and exercise, who knew? You can set your weight loss goal including speed (1/2lb or 1 lb week). I did 1lb and "get" about 1500 calories to spend. I find I'm not hungry if I plan and there's a lot of chopping involved - loads of fruit, veggies, salad. Gotta make sure you're eating enough protein and some fat so you don't get crazy cravings. Sigh.

Water doesn't do shit for metabolism or saiety in the GI tract, but thanks for passing along this wives' tale

I'm in a similar place, OP. I've never had to worry too much about diet - I eat healthfully, only when I'm hungry, and that has always been enough to be slim. Now in my late 30s my weight is slowly creeping upwards!

I find the hardest thing is to start "dieting" - because I've NEVER been a dieter. I find intermittent fasting to work, and I only need to do it once or twice a week, because it's easy enough to skip a meal once in a while.
