I'm right there with you on Nurse Jackie! I loved to hate that show and it's still one I'll turn on when I'm bored and can't decide on watching anything else. I don't know why I punish myself like that?!
One that drives me crazy that is not a long running show is Supergirl. My kid loves this show so I'm usually watching with her and biting my tongue. Really? A pair of glasses is all it takes to keep people from realizing that Kara Danvers isn't Supergirl? And her best friend is some kind of 25 year old CEO genius that's saved the world multiple times and still doesn't know that she's Supergirl? I can't. |
| The tv show Mom - Her son went to live with his father. What happened to her daughter? |
She left home was living with her fiancé, then broke up. |
I pretty much remember her storyline. After she broke up with the fiance, she walked up to her mom/grandmother's front door, changed her mind then walked away. What happened to her? She disappeared like the sister on season 1 of King of Queens. The son popped up on a very special episode a year or 2 later, but they don't mention the daughter, the ex-husband or his new wife. |
Yeah, I think the show did a disservice by focusing on Anna Farris and Allison janney. The two of them arguing is boring. I thought they probably would have done better with just 2 kids vs. 1 since the writers essentially wrote them off the show. What addiction and recovery is, the ongoing battles people face is timely and important,so I appreciate what the show was trying to do. |

Eureka and the timeline change that made Allison Blake’s son from a autistic savant to NT teen.
This post sums it up well: https://mrissa.livejournal.com/746494.html Basically Allison and her teen son would share zero memories. Her original timeline would only have experiences of a child who didn’t easily communicate with others if at all. Her time would have been filled with therapy appointments for Kevin 1 and not experiencing the typical kid milestones at all b/c Kevin 1 didn’t. She never expressed any concern over what happened to that kid and never expressed missing him. As a parent with a child who has severe communication issues, you know your kid has a unique personality even if to the outside world doesn’t see it. The writers on eureka used a character as a prop. Every time she repeated the line, “I don’t want to lose him” in reference to leaving that time line, I wanted to slap the character. She had lost her son. |
| Why did everyone on Gilligan's Island have so much stuff with them for a 3 hour tour? |
Really it was the Howells and Ginger. Everyone else pretty much wore the same thing but some mysteries will never be answered. |
What were the Howell's even doing on that tiny boat on a group tour? They were old school, upper crust, Mayflower descendant, pre-Groupon, billionaires driving Hondas, ring the bell to summon the maid rich. Back then no way would those types have mingled with commoners on a group tour. Also, how were they abe to construct a mini-city on a deserted island, but couldn't patch a hole in a boat? Tom Hanks tied some logs together, chopped up a porta potty, glued together a couple coconuts and voila, he got off the island. |
| How did the Ropers never figure out that jack wasn’t gay? |
| What happened to the Brady kids’ other parents? Death? Divorce? Why were they never mentioned? What did the mom do all day with the kids in school and a housekeeper? |
This is definitely a mystery. The mom always seemed to be reading a magazine. But, the missing parents both died -- it's mentioned in the pilot (which didn't air very often). Still, weird that they never talked about their dead parents -- if the show had been made 10 yrs later they'd probably have dealt with it in multiple "very special episodes". |
| Army Wives—no way Enlisted and Officer wives become friends. |
| How did so many kids from Good Morning Miss Bliss (and Mr Belding!) all magically transport from Indiana to Bayside after they finished junior high!!?? |
B/c mr. belding was a genie who granted wishes? |
