Snow tires will help you more than 4 wheel drive.

This is absolutely true. A lot cheaper than getting a new car too.


Snow tires on an AWD drive car are best.

That said I had a 1992 Volvo 240 with studded snow tires in Vermont that did better than many friends' cars.

No, they are about $42K if you can negotiate for the well loaded and $1700 for the extended warrenty.

I'm over 40 and going to buy one once the new model year comes out. Now is when we can afford a really nice one so why not. Why drive a boring car? Life is too short.

What don't you like? There are many models. The new ones with higher trim are pretty comfortable and loaded with features.

Honda and Toyota also make numerous AWD cars.
