SGF - Did you wait for 14 day beta to test?

Yes, for all 3 times! All three were accurate.

Thanks, everyone. Just tested and got a positive! Glad I didn't force myself to wait for the SGF beta. It was nice to have the moment at home.

Great news, OP! Thanks for the update and best wishes!

IMO, both ways are fine.

For my first DD, I tested at 5DPT and got a faint positive. I was happy I tested and have no regrets. I also knew that if it didn't work, I'd cycle again.

For my twins, I waited until the blood draw because I emotionally wasn't strong enough to handle a negative result (and it was our last shot after years of trying to get pregnant again).

I wonder why it’s 14 day post transfer but earlier for other methods. We did clomid and timed intercourse this cycle and they had me come in 13dpo. I tested on day 10 and got a positive. Then they had me come in on day 12 instead.

It's actually the opposite. The rule of thumb is 14 days after conception, which roughly corresponds to 14 DPO. For IUI, you would be testing 14 days later. For IVF, with a 5d embryo, you should be able to test 9 days later, which would roughly correspond to 14 DPO (5d + 9) for a natural conception.
