IF and hypoglycemia

There are likely other issues that trigger migraines, maybe you need to drink something with electrolytes?

I agree that hypoglycemia could be an issue here. But I have also read that hypoglycemia is actually quite rare and many people assume they have it that do not. I would suggest checking with a doctor if you think you have it and are interested in IF.

Hypoglycemia is not uncommon but it's not serious (seizures, death) for a person not taking insulin or some oral diabetic meds. But it can be uncomfortable, annoying, or somewhat debilitating. Being at 50 is no fun, but even if I don't have a snack or meal, I'll come out of it eventually on my own.

Not necessarily. I don't get a headache but get dizzy, sweat, and just feel fuzzy. When it's gotten really low, I can't think straight or even make sense of what is happening.

You could get a blood sugar monitor and check your blood sugar. That's what a crash feels like to me.

I would get dull headaches during the first week or two when I started IF, but since I was checking my blood sugar multiple times a day, I knew it wasn’t related, I was in a normal range.

What helped me, increased water intake, increased sea salt on foods, started taking magnesium & potassium supplements.

As another poster said, best to get a meter and monitor your sugar level, until you get a feel for things.
