It's not. Every time I have ever thought this I have put a dumbbell on it and it is exact. |
| My weight fluctuates a lot which is why I weight myself every day. |
| OP, do you seriously weigh yourself every day? |
So are you still 132 this morning? |
| This is pretty standard for me - I'll sometimes see 3-4 lb variances within the same day. I never understand when people make a big deal out of losing or gaining "2 pounds!" |
| Poop. |
| I have IBS and this is pretty standard. The bloating is intense. I weigh 3-4lbs at the end of the day than I do at the beginning. I also only go #2 every 2-3 days or so. |
+1 As for people rejoicing they "lost 2 pounds"...it only counts if you can keep it off day after day, week after week. |
OP here, and yes I do. I just lost 70 lbs and am trying to lose the last 10. Weighing myself daily works. Some days I'm up and some days I'm down. I'm just looking for a consistent downward trend over the week or so. It's usually a pound or two fluctuations but I've never seen a 4 lbs difference from one day to the next. |
I'm 131 this morning. |
Funny you say that. My gut feels the best first thing in the morning. As the day goes on, I get more and more bloated. Generally the more fiber I have in my diet the worse the bloating is. If I add a good amount of fat into my diet I am a lot more regular and less bloated. It sucks because I love salads and veggies. |
What is the logic here? My weight fluctuates a lot too, which is why I never weigh myself. I can tell my weight by how my clothes fit, and take measurements. |
It keeps me more accountable. If I see I'm up a couple of lbs it's easier to correct than 10. |

Dehydration for me.
Or, if hydrated, it means I've avoided some food my body hates and I was able to drop the water weight. |
+1. It’s really easy to put on weight. Weighing daily keeps me accountable. Just like checking my checking account balance keeps me accountable |
