Why can't your kid slide down a hill on a day off? |

We have it here. not a lot but enough to make things slippery |

Streets are not icy, sidewalks maybe but not roads. |
I am the "dry outside" PP. We're in Ashton/Brookeville (outside of Olney). There's a "wintry mix" here, but the roads are fine. Mo Co, I doubt, will close, even though FFX fell. |
| Remember Fairfax and Loudon both have a waiver to open before labor day based on needing lots of snow days. I think they need 8 a year to keep the waiver. They have a vested interest in having snow days. |

Meanwhile, here's their page on how weather decisions are made and why MCPS can't "just" close the schools where those other kids live.
