Hello. I'm seeking opinions of, and anecdotal info about, Hillsdale College and Liberty University

I'd be very surprised if there is any measurable Mormon population at Liberty. You may be outcast or constantly the target of conversion attempts. Also, whatever value a Liberty BA had has been incredibly diluted by its huge, indiscriminate online degree programs. It's a borderline for-profit at this point.

Honestly, in this case younger what you pay for. Neither

I think if you look at law school placement rates by college that would help guide your decision. If you are a strong student and you want to go to a good law school, go to BYU. Your choice depends on what track you want to take in life-you could certainly go to liberty and be successful within circles of conservative Christian professionals, if you seek broader success (like admission well ranked law school) you need to go to a college where you will get a rigorous education.

BYU has a strong history department, conservative and reputable (I'm a historian).

I work in academia. BYU, Hillsdale, and SMU all have excellent reputations. Norwich is less well-known but it will not necessarily be a black mark on a resume or grad school app like Liberty will.

Yours is the type of response I specifically mentioned I wasn't looking for. Clearly reading compression isn't your forte, which doesn't speak well for wherever you went to school.

My mom did mention I would get responses like yours. I owe her a batch of cookies now

NP, You said you weren’t interested in a list of things (discussions politics, being called a horrible person) and this post violated none of your stipulations.

I do a fair amount of hiring and also would not view Liberty as a reputable university. The others on your list, sure. But not Liberty.

This.

And I think it's good for east coast people to go west for a while and see what it's like to relax a little.

Do the folks at Liberty even consider Mormons Christian? I'd bet a fair amount of them do not.

I am a hiring manager and would never consider hiring someone with a LU degree. I (and my colleagues) view it as on par with University of Phoenix.

But I think University of Phoenix sends more grads to law school.

It's pretty arrogant of you to assume I'd be the least bit interested in working for you.

Do you agree?

I asked for firsthand experience, or family experience. I'm not interested in what "you'd be surprised" about. It's baseless and verifies that you in fact are just wildly speculative.

Op, you sound like a know-it-all, and you know very little, and are showing very little grace.
