According to Bethesda Magazine, in 2017 there were 201 applicants from Moco public HS and 20 accepted. |

Sorry typo
TEN accepted |
It’s okay. I am sure that was a typo anyway. St Mary’s admit rate is MUCH higher than that. |
79% per google. |
| No I was quoting the Moco public schools acceptance rate only. |
| 20 ended up going or 20 were offered spot's.. |
The chart showed “applied” and “accepted” it did not further define |
I have a hard time believing that only 5% of the MoCo students who applied got accepted considering the overall acceptance rate is about 16 times that. |
The State of MD does not want MoCo students overcrowding state colleges unless they are lower middle class. The other counties have complained that MoCo takes too many of the slots. |

You can see that issue of the magazine here: http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Magazine/...cparticle=3&siarticle=2#artanc I have no idea where PP pulled those numbers from but they're incorrect. 220 MoCo seniors applied and 139 were accepted. |
Actually, I do know where PP got those numbers! She must have mistakenly looked at Stanford's row (which is just below SMCM's row, in the issue) It is at STANFORD where 10/201 were accepted, not St. Mary's. LOL. |
Trust me. St Mary can not afford to be picky at the moment. They are under enrolled and they need the money!!! It’s shame state is not helping out more. |

| I'd rather to go a community college and transfer after two years. |
