Here we go again with the JW hater. We've been pleased. No school is perfect. If you prefer an all white, very wealthy school where you can trade stories about summering in the Hamptons, then Frost is for you.

It's the same speech from him every year. "We are so diverse. MYP is awesome." His weekly communications usually have outdated info. A couple of months ago there were conflicting dates about a 7th grade field trip. I don't think these issues are limited to JW.

Why do you love him?

He is responsive to parent concerns, open to feedback, available, and has always responded quickly, honestly, and professionally. Frankly, he is a breath of fresh air after a terrible elementary school principal.

If you don't have a 2M home, or are a minority, then you won't like Frost MS from what I can tell. Believe me, it's no picnic for non-rich people, white or black. Kids have unbelievable wealth and flaunt it every day.

Really?? What neighborhoods are zoned for Frost that have $2 million homes?? I thought most homes in that cluster were in the $600-800k range.

My kids went to Frost and I know others that went to JW. I also know teachers at both. JW is run way better that Frost. Better Principal and staff. However, Wootton is much better than RM.

+1 Most homes zoned for Wootton aren't that expensive. There are probably a couple, but I'm thinking those folks send their kids to private school. However, Wootton HS has way more fancier and new cars than RM HS in their parking lots. There is definitely more money in Wootton than RM cluster.

DP.. Wootton has much less FARMs than RM. I think that translates to "much better" for some people because this leads to higher test scores. I live in the RM cluster btw. I like RM better because of its diversity and also the IB program. But some people don't really care about diversity as much as they do test scores.

How about Churchill then? Less money makes you even a bigger misfit in Churchill or Wootton is special in that aspect?

I just dont understand what millionaires you all are talking about in Wootton cluster?? Yes, Bethesda area has million dollar homes but where are these million dollar homes you are referring to in Wootton cluster??
