Frost middle versus Julius West

I know JW has a more diverse student population. Other than that, anything worth mentioning from those of you with experience at both or just one or the other? Thanks!

My daughter is in her first year at JW and we have been very pleased so far. I have been impressed with her teachers. They are available for extra help as long as the student asks for the help.

We have no complaints.

I love a particular neighborhood zoned for Frost. But just trying to keep the options open in case we don't find a house there.

Frost is 10X better than JW and I say this as a JW parent.

I'm a JW parent. I'm completely underwhelmed with the principal. The teachers have been good. I figure my kid deals with the teachers far more than the principal.

Frost is a dump and is filled with snobs and brats.

It is hard to have information on both sides of this question.

When our DC left JW, we would have said Frost had to be better.

Now that our DC are just about through IB and SMAC magnet programs they have been in class with Frost graduates for several years.

They would tell you that only Eastern and TPMS magnet kids have any advantage starting HS.

It's the same speech from him every year. "We are so diverse. MYP is awesome." His weekly communications usually have outdated info. A couple of months ago there were conflicting dates about a 7th grade field trip. I don't think these issues are limited to JW.
