Time to nix the chips!

OMG tonight my 6 year old told me that my tummy looks like it has a baby in it. I've always had a shelf like bump below my belly button and I guess it looks like a baby bump to him. It's hereditary but my extra weight for my frame doesn't help at all. I chose not to have my usual Friday night wine tonight after he made that comment.

Don't let a little kid's comment about pregnancy bellies make you feel bad! My son has suggested that a handful of times and my BMI is 21. Kids are learning about this and/or think it's a joke and/or just assume all women will be or are pregnant.

When I look down and can’t see my belly button.
It’s buried in a sea of fat.

When it was tight fitting into the roller coaster restraints so I could ride with my daughter. Then I wondered what weight they tested those on.

When the attendant at a roller coaster discretely told me which seat I should sit in because it was slightly larger. Yeah, guess I’m fat. And carry it all in my ass.

Down 11 pounds in 6 weeks. A ways to go.

^i saw a large man have to forgo his roller coaster ride because of his size..and he wasn’t even very big. I was surprised.

We have a small half bath that is a tight squeeze especially when open / closing the door (it really needs a pocket door).

I was helping my almost 4 yr old and had to reposition a few times to get the door shut. She looked at me and said you are too big for this bathroom, you could get stuck. She told me this bathroom should be for thin people and fat people should use the big bathroom upstairs. She wasn't being rude, just very matter of fact and was worried about fat people getting stuck behind the door.

When I can’t fit in the largest jeans that I own.

I wanted to move on from my maternity jeans, so I went to my bucket of clothes that I had from 3-years-ago postpartum. I had some really large jeans in there.

They didn’t fit and I continue to need maternity. now that fall is here I’m really limited. A lot of my maternity was spring/summer.

My dd saw me in my underwear and asked ‘why is your bum so chunky?’ I told her because of the baby and she said but that was a while ago! I know it’s just kids, but sometimes their honest take is revealing.

When my 3 year old started crying because I had eaten all his French fries without even realizing it.

My 4 year old DD once told me it was weird I was fat but didnt have big boobies. It was like she just instinctively knew the biggest plaque of my life! LOL It was funny but made me realize that I didnt want to be this size. I was a 10 (but 5 ft 1 so very overweight) and I fight hard to stay at a 6 now.

When I had to buy summer clothes in a size 12 and I had always thought of a size 10 as my upper limit of clothing sizes. That was about 18 months ago. This past summer I had to buy all new clothes in a size 6 Much more fun to buy size 6 clothes rather than size 12! But it is a constant struggle, doesn't come easy.

I saw how actually fat I looked in photos. When I realized I could languish at fifteen pounds over pre-pregnancy weight and he "fine" but not feel sexy again. When I noticed all my back fat. When I constantly pulled up my pants/jeans to hide my pooch. When I looked at my husband and admired how handsome he was, and wanted him to admire my beauty again, too. When I wanted to enjoy sex without thinking about jiggle/rolls.

Ten pounds down.
