| They wouldn't let the Bren Mar kids in, would they? |
If you had seen this person's campaign against SEES you would understand. The agenda seems to be more against SEES than FOR ________ (whatever plan). |

At least you have an active School Board member who sends out newsletters every two or three months. Our School Board member sends a newsletter out once a year.

Sandy does plenty of community meetings. |
Many parents would appreciate a newsletter every once in a while vs a community meeting. |
| Yay for our property value! After 10+ years we haven't recovered what we paid for a house in this neighborhood. Tree-lined streets and large yards, good commute! Bring on the center. And My kids are too old to take advantage of it. |
Bren Mar is not part of the Edison pyramid - it’s part of the Annandale pyramid. And I’m going to hope that your question wasn’t trying to demean Bren Mar in any way - it’s a lovely school. |
| In the Edison pyramid, most the AAP kids identified are from Clermont and now the majority of those kids are choosing to stay at Clermont and forgo a center (SEES or otherwise) all together. |
Clermont is so close to Bush Hill it could change the decision to stay put. |
It could, but not sure why it would. People are choosing to stay to avoid disruption for their children. People want to keep them in their neighborhood school where kids on their street go, and to keep them with their siblings who may not be in AAP (at all or yet) and because they like the principal and the teachers at the school. |
Would you please back this up with actual facts? Is there a report or website that shows the numbers from each school that are identified and then how many enroll at Springfield Estates? Otherwise you’re just making things up. |
They were moved out of the Annandale pyramid a couple of years ago and go to Edison now, so they are in the Edison pyramid. To answer PP, it would probably apply to them, too. |
Not OP, but I have suspected this but don't know it to be true. I too wonder if there are stats somewhere. I have a 4th, 6th and 8th grade AAP student at SEES and Twain. Each orientation year, out of the Edison pyramid, most of the kids came from Clermont (My kids are from Bushhill and I'm all for the center being put there) but that is only 3 years of observation and I don't know what happend this year, or any of the years before my 8th grader got in. I'd like to know where OP got the info. |
This is incorrect information. Bren Mar is an elementary school that feeds into Holmes Middle School. Some of the students from Holmes Middle School feed into Edison. Some. Bren Mar is not considered part of the Edison pyramid, nor is Holmes. But for high school, some of the students will feed into Edison. |
No, actually, they weren’t. They do go to HS at Edison, but because they go to Holmes (and not Twain), they are in the Annandale pyramid. They attend AAP at Belvedere and would not be affected by this. |
