When you see someone come in after you or leave before you, make sure you chuckle and say "working a half day today Sandra?" |

One day last week I got in at 8:21 instead of 8:30, and then only took a 45 minute lunch because clients were expected at 2pm and I wanted to make sure I would be here when they arrived. Then on Friday I left 25 minutes early. My work was done. The time all balanced out within the same pay period.
WAIT! I just remembered that I ran into Grace in the bathroom and we were talking about men for a good ten minutes, and then I dropped something off at Gina's desk and was chatting with her because she's super unhappy here. You better call HR and report me. |
| Don't YOU have a job to focus on? If so then focus on THAT! |
Are you in high school? |
| No, you should not tell the boss. Full stop. But you should really analyze why you are even contemplating this. |
|
Do you have Asperger's, OP? |
| My official hours are 0600-1800. I am entitled to a one hour lunch break and 2 15 minute breaks. I am usually at work at 545/550 and leave at 1745.........I never take my 15 min breaks.OP you need to get a life. |
|
Ouch. I like clipboard suggestion. You can put stars or sad faces on their monitor, depending on how early they left.
I had coworkers like you. My managers had to tell them to go do actual work. I used to come whenever and leave whenever, but also do whatever is needed and more. |
| OP -- i left 5 min early last thursday. you should probably tell my boss. |
| Tell your boss. Make it a really big deal. Have the info written down and show your boss all the details. If you don't get the response you want, go to your boss's boss. This is important. Make it loud and make it count. |
|
Op: I come and go when I feel like it. If my brain is not working, I will leave. No point in trying to work when I can not think coherently.
Oh, I put in my 40 hours per week. I get the work done. And when I leave, I monitor my email and am available on the phone. And I am certain I make more $$$ than you. |
|
I'd suggest you start monitoring people's bathroom time as well. Clipboard / sticker system is a great idea; the second someone's cumulative daily toilet time tops 8 minutes, the boss NEEDS to know.
(...seriously, if you are older than 7 this is just absurd; you are pathetic, petty and, venturing an assumption here, not a very strong employee. Mind your own business, focus on getting YOUR work done, and stop being so creepy.) |

| Just ask yourself, WWDD....What would Dwight Shrudt Do? |
| I suggest you examine why this bothers you so much. |
