Newsflash. Not everyone wants to touch your dog or be sniffed/licked by them.

Licking is kissing. You can't tell someone who's feeling love to not show it.

The reality is, you live in a world with dogs. You have to accept that. Just like I dislike cats, and accept that they exist and sometimes I have to interact with them.

I don't want to be sniffed by your dog. Got it?

I kick dogs that make contact with me. Hard. With the goal of hurting them.

So if you don't want your insufferable fur-baby to get the toe of my shoe in its chest or ribs, keep it away from strangers.

I would call the cops if you did this to my dog. Hurting animals is a sign of a sociopath.

I don't let my dog go up to people. I keep him on a leash and try to go to the other side of the sidewalk/street.

Sometimes people (usually kids) come very close, and it's impossible for me to stop him from sniffing them. I apologize, but often, it really isn't my fault. I moved out of the way with my dog, but the other person failed to keep their kid away.

And by the way, for the record, I've had kids in restaurants grab my pure, kids in grocery stores touch things in my cart while we're in line, etc. Not once has a parent offered an apology. And usually they look at me as if I should think their kid is adorable.

I've had enough of these "I hate dogs and people who have them threads."

Grow a spine. If someone allows their dog to come up to you and you don't like it, say something. "Excuse me, I don't like strange dogs approaching me."

You 2 are nice, I would kick that mother F'r back. Hard. In the groin. With the goal of hurting him.

Ugh I hate when dogs lick me. Or sniff my crotch.

This. I have 2 dogs and get out of the way when people walk by. But many people approach them - which is fine but they will get licked.
I have rarely had a dog randomly jump on me and lick me and sniff me. Most people I see walking their dogs have them under control. But yes bad dog owners exist as well as bad parents that let their kids touch everything.

Why the hell do we have to have this thread every two weeks.

This is not a real problem.

You cannot be serious. I certainly can tell someone who's feeling love not to show it when it involves touching me. Do you really think any person who wants to can just come up and kiss me? So wrong. Stop letting your dog touch other people. Control. Your. Dog.

I have to accept that there are dogs in the world. I do not have to let them touch me.

Maybe improve your hygiene?

Call the cops. They'll tell you to keep your dog from making unwanted contact with people.

If this were true you would have met Mr. Siggy by now. But thanks for playing!

Dog owner (2) and I think its awful. I have a traffic leash and keep it tight around people. Dog owners need to remember even though they are our beloved pets, they are animals and they bite. If my dog bit someone I would feel horrible and worse if he had to be put down because of it.

I've started kicking dogs out of the way. Not kicking like a soccer ball, but shoving away with my foot.

Your dogs shouldn't be going up to people, and as an owner it's your total responsibility to be in control of your animal at all times, by your side, and to move it out of the way.

Otherwise, I'll shove it myself if you can't be bothered to care for your own pet.

Oh, but it is. It's becoming very problematic in places like Arlington and Old Town, with dogs being the latest fashion accessory - and owners to lazy to be responsible.

Agree with pp. It’s not a real problem for you because you are the dog owner, not the other way around.
