I dunno but every time I have to cross that state line I say a prayer and hope I can make it back quick! |
Because a lot of them learned to drive in Maryland, and then moved to VA. |
This has to be the prize winner of the most inane and ridiculous on it's face excuse I've ever heard. Not to mention it's kind of insulting to VA, also? |
You lost all credibility from the bolded above. |
I think Norfolk is the dark heart that basically poisons the rest of the state. Have you ever driven there? You'll feel like you're in a third world country |
Maryland drivers are fast and aggressive. They don't want to do the speed limit -- they want to be 10 MPH over in a residential area. And it doesn't matter who's in which lane -- they're going to pass on the right. They're in a hurry, dammit! Who has time to move to the left? NO ONE!
Virginia drivers are slow and clueless. Need to make a left turn? Go right ahead! Pay no mind to which lane you're in or how many lanes of traffic you'll need to cross to make that left. You can always stop at the median to do the second half of your turn. People will stop for you. They might not, if they were from Maryland, but those guys are all in the right lane. |
Everyone know MD drivers are the worst in the region, particularly the ones in SUVs. |
What do they have in their water? Moonshine, natch. |
This. Oh yes, the MD SUVs with bass boosted rap music... tons of them getting off at 495 to Tysons to work and shop. They don't know how to share the road and merge with local traffic. |
Believe me, we don't want to have to be in your land of strip mall suburbia blandness any more than you want us there. That's why we hightail it out (speeding) |
MD drivers are much worse. I blame many of the foreigners in VA. I think they learned to drive in countries with much more lax rules.
And never park next to a car with DC plates. Door dings and bumper dings galore on those DC cars. |
+1 |
Yeah the road rage is usually a white female suv thing |
I have nightmares about when I lived in VA. The drivers were what made it horrible! |
Whatever most of my extended family lives in md and they ALWAYS come in to va to shop at potomac mills or tysons or the leesburg outlet. They prefer it to montgomery mall, your only good safe mall there. Also a ton of marylanders drive to va to work. |
