Coming to terms with losing looks

It sucks, but I have to work out 5 days a week, every week, no excuses, but it's helped me stay a size 4-6. Use anti wrinkle cream. I've used it since age 21. I eat whatever I want but I count calories. Drink lots of water and make sleep a priority.

If you count calories, I'm sure you aren't eating whatever you want.

I count calories, and also have beer, pizza, ice cream, etc. I just don't have three servings every night.

Op what the hell are you doing to lose your looks at 30 and not even have kids as an excuse? You have all the time and resources to devote to self care. Come on. Get off your butt and workout- voila I fixed your fat belly and flabby arms. Get a night cream and baby your skin. Drink water, cut back on booze, don't eat like a teenager who has a lightning fast metabolism. You're too damn young to be losing it like this. I'm 32 with two kids and look the best I ever have. You're going to end up slumping through your prime because you were too lazy to actually take care of yourself and that's all it boils down to: laziness. You have to work a bit harder to look good at 30 than at 22 but it can certainly be done.

I hate to see women throw away their prime years when they should be confident and kicking ass and really growing into themselves because they won't put down the snacks and lift a few weights.

Yes, I am. I just don't eat however MUCH I want. If I want a burger and fries for lunch, I have a small salad or cereal for dinner and cut out some snacks. I don't deprive myself of anything.

^^^I was the PP here. The first person who replied to you wasn't me. So see? It works for more than one person.

I am 60 now and in order to even look in the mirror I have had to lower the bar incredibly, and wonder how I was ever judgy before now. However - there are advantages now that the bar is so low and improving without the scalpel is nonexistent, its very liberating!

Op, do you drink? Do you smoke? Do you stay up late partying or with insomnia (like me)? If so, stop doing all of these things.

You weren't ever that good looking if it's all gone by 30.

Good looks have to be maintained. If you have a fat belly and flabby arms, it's time to get back into shape. Find a workout routine or classes you enjoy. What happened to your long luscious locks? It sounds like cut and color are in order. Hopefully, you are using salon quality products on your hair. You should also use high quality skincare products. At this point, you should definitely be using an anti-aging system. Daily sunscreen is a must. A visit with a dermatologist to address your skin concerns is in order. Dietary changes are also needed. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats.

If you're wearing t-shirts and yoga pants daily, it's also time for wardrobe improvements.

Be sure to take care of yourself mentally and emotionally. Sever toxic relationships. Surround yourself with people who support you.
