Outdoor potluck - what should I bring?

Anonymous
I made turkey and cheese sliders last time and they were all gone.

Mini corn dogs.

I'm a picky eater and would eat the two bolded. I would not eat any of the "salads" mentioned above this post or corn dogs. No broccoli slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, etc. That's all disgusting (plus especially when it's been sitting outside in the heat - it's food poisoning waiting to happen).

Thankfully, most people don't worry about catering to those who are outrageously picky.

Or a mixed caprese-style salad with cherry tomatoes, cubed fresh mozzarella, and basil leaves, sprinkled with a dash of salt and tossed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

I've done both of these to good review. Also: rainbow quinoa salad: dice a rainbow of veg and mix with quinoa and lemon juice, olive oil.

Things I make that never have leftovers:

Pimento cheese and Ritz
Finger sandwiches
Deviled eggs

A bucket of the Colonel's extra crispy chicken

A vodka- or tequila-soaked watermelon.

A tray of Chik-fil-a nuggets.

A salad with cubes of watermelon, blueberries, and a tiny bit of cilantro & salt. Sounds weird but it's amazing.

School's been out since the 90's for me. Just because someone has a preference different from yours doesn't mean they're wrong.

Homemade creamed corn. In your crockpot shave the kernels off about 10 fresh ears of corn. Add a block of cream cheese and a stick of butter and a cup of either milk of cream. Salt and pepper. Low for 3-4 hours. I take this everywhere and once a guy put it on a hot dog because "I just need more vessels for the corn."

Pp here I'm also a fan of bringing stuffed jalapeƱos- halve and seed fresh jalapeƱos, stuff with some pineapple cream cheese and wrap in bacon and bake about 15 minutes. You will never have a single one left.

Nope. But most grown adults don't call normal food "disgusting" when they are uber picky.
