My kid hasn't taken a bath since last Sunday

Yuck! Does she know how to properly wipe when she goes to the bathroom? I'm surprised she doesn't have a rash. And doesn't she play outside? What about dirt, pollen, ticks?

You know, those are all good for your immune system.

I'm so jealous-- my 2 yo insists on a nightly bath. He's not even dirty!

You're obviously making bath time too much fun!

The dirt, pollen, whatever doesn't bother me. It's the butt.

Sometimes I pretend to forget about it - I'm like "it's pajama time and time for a good night book!" It only worked once. He'll remind me that "Mommy, first is bath time." THANKS DUDE I WAS TRYING TO AVOID IT. I don't even shower every day, why should he? That's what baby wipes are for.

Good for you, OP! That's sort of how we roll with 2.5 y/o DS. He usually gets a bath MAYBE twice a week, unless he starts to smell or gets particularly dirty from playing outside.

OMG, mine bath twice a day. It seems quite necessary since they're active.

Do you put clean clothes on her daily?

+1 Our kids get a bath at least every two days, but sometimes those baths are only butt, hands, and face. Gotta wash the bottom!

this is a little gross to me because children this age cannot wipe themselves correctly yet and gunk is just building up. DS had his foreskin get "stuck" due to not pulling it far enough back to be cleaned and all that sweat and skin made it like super glue.

I bathe my kids every single night. I was a kindergarten teacher prior to being a SAHM and all the teachers used to talk about the parents of the kids who smelled like puppies.

I don't judge you OP because I'm just not a judgy person but it's about teaching our kids proper hygiene. So a 7 year old does not need a daily bath. Mine gets it every 2-3 days unless he is really dirty or dusty. But soon hormones will kick in and he will start stinking and I want him to have a habit of getting clean. Plus, like others said, the butt just does not get the attention it needs if you know what I mean.

+1. Mine is like this too. We established baths as a nighttime routine as an infant and now he insists upon it. He's a pretty methodical little fellow in all aspects though.
