How many bags do you carry to work?

One backpack. Laptop, lunch, small purse go in that. I don't bring workout clothes.

Zero. I work from home.

So many. I'm a teacher. I could literally be renamed the bag lady.

None, but I also don't have kids. I carry my phone + a small designer card case. One card case has a coin purse in the middle and holds some cash, the other literally just holds my DL and a card or two. I hate carrying anything more, nor do I really have a need to.

NP but similar set up. Lipstick, hairbrush, concealer, tampons are in a little pouch in my desk, although I couldn't tell you the last time I used any of them.

Same. I'm in education (though not a teacher) and am at different locations daily.

I have a work bag, a purse, and a lunch bag. Until recently a pump bag. Sometimes a my bag. Sometimes another rolls bag if I'm doing a presentation or workshop. Sometimes a huge post-it pad. I always have extra bags in my trunk, and one of those reusable pocket bags in my purse. One day I opened up my trunk and someone said, "you must be a teacher!"

It's ridiculous. Gym bag, pumping bag, lunch bag, purse (that's big enough to fit laptop).

Box of tampons - kept in desk drawer at work.
Hairbrush - in desk
Keys - toss in gym bag or purse in said gym bag
Lipstick - with toilitries (wherever you keep them); another at work.

I just have extras of essential items.

1. I don't carry a laptop but when I need to it fits in the purse. So does my lunch bag. I hate dragging a bunch of bags it looks uncouth and disorganized

Large purse or tote and lunch bag. I only bring gym bag to work once a week - I put 4-5 yoga outfits in it at a time and bring them home at the end of the week. I bring my laptop bag on weekends too, so Monday and Friday I am loaded down.

One smallish purse. Bring a small washable tote with gym clothes on monday. Shoes and everything else stay at work. Bring it home on friday.

Bring lunch one or twice a week.

I Work from home on fridays so i bring my laptop. It's super small and goes in a lean backpack.

Honestly, when i see women with giant sized totes plus purses plus laptop bags leaving work every day, it comes across to me that they're inefficient martyrs. Clean your fucking purse out; you're just hauling a lot of junk around with you. And do you really need to bring a huge stack of files and your laptop home every night? And if you do, why don't they fit in your giant tote bag that is also overflowing with shit? I started asking colleagues (subtly) to find out if i was missing something about why they took so much stuff to and from work, and several admitted they're lives were messy, they rarely did work at night, but always left work with intentions to tackle a ton of stuff. The men in my line of work are not hauling around anything except gym bags. If they need to login from home, they login from a home computer or just respond on iPhone or iPad. The highly successful women in my line of work are not schlepping around with overflowing totes and lap top bags, either.

Gym bag, and lunch bag and nursing stuff -- sure no problem.

You're pretty judgy. I was too, pre-long commute, big work responsibilities, and kids. I bring three bags: one for laptop and files (I telework often and need them at home), standard purse (wallet, badge, etc), tote with pumping stuff, food, and makeup. Happy Easter to all!
