| 7:58 here - it is a sibling. |
It doesn't matter - that means you're behind 9 other siblings. If 10 rising 6th graders leave, then you'll get in. That is highly unlikely. |
Based on past movement, no. But if you can stick it out elsewhere until high school, the sibling has a good chance to get in in 9th grade. |
| 7:58-call the school and plead your case! |
Someone at Latin sells spots after the lottery is over. So, if you are WL #12, for instance, you may loose your spot for WL student #345 because he/she paid someone there. Did you get it? |
You guys. Come on. That isn't true. I know lots of people who had reasonable WL numbers there and they got in on a reasonable schedule. |
| I'm in the low 200s and I would absolutely pay for a spot if that were an allowed option. |
| a couple of years ago we were in the low 20s and got a call the Saturday before the first day of school. |
5th? No way. |
| Pur child graduated from Lain. They do not sell spots. All this thread communicates is that the model/vision/curriculum is unique and desirable and its time for a second campus. The charter board takes proposals every year. Its time for a second Latin. |
The Latin Board has committed to starting one - within next 4 years. |
| Looking like we'll release our 5th grade spot. |
Thank you. Sincerely. |
If you know about this, you should report details to My School DC, they monitor the WL after the lottery is over so can look into this. |
Truly one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen stated on DCUM. |
