| She looks fantastic!! Amazing and natural and kept her natural look -- unlike Kim Kardashian who has so many fillers in her face that she no longer has a natural face. |
You think her life is miserable because she's pretty but not a supermodel? Really? And her physical appearance is where all her value lies? That's so f-ed up. I need to stay off these threads, they make me crazy, ha. |
| She looks amazing!! |
| Im not a fan of long hair past late 40s. Just looks a little too desperate. But maybe a red bikini does too! She looks amazing…definitely not arguing with that. But its kinda odd to keep trying to look EXACTLY how you looked in 1990. Evolve a little! |
| I didn't realize she literally JUST finished raising her kids. Her youngest is 18 at 63! |
I see what that poster was saying. A regular person wouldn't be upset if they couldn't be a supermodel. But her mom is one, and her half-sister looks JUST like the mom. Thus, Alexa is odd man out. |
|
I think that Alexa has an exotic look and that she is probably a lot better looking in person than she is in pictures. Her look is totally different than her mom's in and some ways I think that would be easier than the constant comparisons that her more look alike younger sister gets.
Christie Brinkley is still stunning at 63 and her girls both inherited her nice figure - lucky them! |
From the little I know about her, she's a super hard worker, she could probably walk into any record label and get special kid treatment, but she plays clubs, writes her own stuff, stays true to what she wants from her music (albeit, that's made possible by not having to worry about retirement, how to save money, how to eat, etc) and lives a nice life instead of seeking fame for the purpose of fame itself. Pretty damn refreshing and I also think she is pretty, she has that sort of odd/pretty look to her. Also, I think long hair on older women actually looks WAY better, my own mom grew her hair a few inches past her shoulders in her 50s and kept it in her 60s, just kind of wavy and loose and lightly styled, it looks kind of etheral and not young at all |
| They look great, but it annoys me that both Christie and the daughters praised SI for celebrating "bodies at every size" and women not having "an expiration date". Both the daughters posted about struggling with body image and how SI is so great for featuring them. Wtf are they talking about?? They all look thin and perfect. It's not exactly revolutionary of SI to feature a 63 yo w the body of a 25 yo, and if either of the girls has an imperfect body, it has been thoroughly photoshopped into model perfection. |
Ha. It's SI swimsuit - that magazine issue is all about hot bodies and celebrating the female form. It is kind of cool to see a 63 year old woman who can still hold her own among the teens and twenty somethings. That's pretty awesome. But it certainly isn't charity work on the part of SI. Brinkley is famous, looks fantastic and her daughters look darn good and that will sell those magazines. It's sort of annoying when they try to turn something so basic into a cause - Body Image! Yeah, right. |
| Body goals |
| Isn't Christie on the crazy train? |
Crazy as a fox train maybe. |
THIS! Its not a charity its not about making all anyone feel anything- its about selling what is considered a traditionally sexy body- I wish they would just own that and not give sound bite quotes that are so ridiculous about it! |
Agree. I thought Alexa's post about having a tummy was really odd, given that she looks like she weighs about 90 pounds (but with enormous boobs, so basically exactly what SI usually features). It seemed much more like body dysmorphia than about women's empowerment. |
