Why is there censorship about schools for Ivanka Trump's kids?

This goes for children whose parents are from every political and ideological slant, from the local level all tye way to the national level.

He truly works hard to view these kids as if "What if they were my kids?" and approaches their privacy from the eyes of a parent (or in some cases more so than a parent.)

He is partisan, but has integrity.

If a thread about someone's kids is happening, it is only because he overlooked it or is sleeping/eating/at a funeral. He has even stepped into those threads while at concerts.

You can keep reposting about the Trump family and Kellyanne's kids, and he will keep deleting them.

It is not a free speech issue (this is a private forum by the way). This isa common decency issue.

Leave all the kids out of it. The Obama girls, the Trump kids, it angered me when this was happening to Chelsea and to the Bush twins too. They are kids! I don't know why people are so obsessed with the kids. They absolutely 100% deserve privacy

+1000 for Mr. Steele for continuing to protect the children from the vitriol that is spewed here. They are children. Leave them alone, OP!

Just because the politicians have decided to subject their kids to a living hell doesn't mean that we should pile on. We at DCUM have higher standards. Someone has to watch out for these innocents.

Tongue out of cheek, now, a sincere thanks to Jeff for keeping us on the high road here.

Well put and yay, Jeff!

I will say though that I don't want the Trump, Kushner, or Conway parents anywhere near the parent communities at my children's schools. Their values disgust me. I hope they homeschool, or stay in NY/NJ, or at least go somewhere else.

Wow. A fascinating window into how some people think.

I'm way out on the left, and I truly can't get worked up about this question. If their kids are a good fit for my kids'schools, then let them in. Their kids would be in class with my kids; I'm not going to be in class with the parents.

While I can't imagine being buddies with Jared, I also think they could make potlucks a lot more interesting, and maybe fun.

You can have him then. I would not want him in my house. I'd just not offer to host anything anymore if they're around.

I have a feeling that won't be an issue for you.

Op, a lot of stuff is censored here. Get over it. It's not Reddit. And that's a good thing.

-signed, republican (not trump supporter) who has seen conversations going way south for democrats...and thread was deleted entirely. This specifically happened to a thread I was actively posting on in politics, about two months ago. The topic and discussion were fair/not that controversial.

+1. And it's a good idea to care about *anyone* specifically being discussed. Maybe besides major public figures.

For example: see what happened with FFU and the firefighter--people posting about other people who did not deserve to have that attention.

Very original comeback. You can host the next school event then.

Yes, it is wonderful how open minded to differing view points some supposedly liberal people are.

PP was talking about different values, not different viewpoints. Do you hang out with bullies, liars, and cheats?

It's getting really tiresome, this thing about "oh look how close-minded those liberals are!" You know very well it's not conservative policies but this particular set of greedy, mean characters that people find abhorrent.

No I don't know that. It plenty of circles having even main stream conservative views (e.g., opposing affirmative action) makes you abhorrent and for that issue racist. Heaven forbid you are pro-life, then you a really beyond the pale.

And in terms of being cheats, bullies, liars etc - Trump supporters (and some other Republicans) would say the same about Hillary. And then where are we? No one is interacting with anyone and we are all in our own echo chamber convincing ourselves we are right and everyone else is a moron.

As a centrist, I am sick of the extreme partisanship coming from both sides.

It's hard to be in the middle. You can't have a civil conversation with either side.
