Isnt that the med that had multimillion dollar lawsuits? Google it. For being precribed "off lanel" and not working? The biggest placebo chemical that messes with other bodily systems? Isn't that the drug you mean? And check liver effects, even more importantly.

That doesn't sound right to me, as it is a commonly-used anti-depressant.

+1 My mother has been on it for 10 years for depression.

Either she shouldn't be driving while on it, or I was on an unusually high dose of it and that's why I was cautioned.

I took a low dose every day for years and never had grogginess or sleepiness. It prevented migraines and had a bonus effect of causing a little weight loss.

I googled and it seems the patient was on a very high dose (150mg daily). Throgh my googling it also seems like it can be hard to come off this med.

My 17-year-old has been prescribed this for migraine prevention and we are supposed to start it today. His dosage (to start) is pretty small; he is to take half of a 25mg pill and we are to increase if necessary going u to a max of (3) 25mg pills. His doctor said realistically he'll probably need to be on a dosage of 2 pills for this to be effective for him. I've googled and it seems many people are on this long-term and are very happy with it but there are also lots of stories of people trying to wean off of it (seems most of those people take it for sleep issues).

Wondering if anyone else can share their experiences.

I took it a few months years ago. It maybe helped me a little bit chronic pain wise. (Back pain and interstitial cystitis). But it dried my eyes out which was an issue since I wear contacts and was already prone to dry eye. For me, having to wear glasses negated the benefits of the small pain decrease.
