+2 I always hate the commercials this time of year (like the Lexus ones) that show people surprising a spouse with a new car. I've always told my husband that I would be pissed if he made such a large purchase without at least talking to me about it first. |
| Surprise her with a trip to a dealership and let her choose her own. |

OP - that is a really nice gift, your wife is lucky!
I love the new Ford Explorer. Also really like the Ford Flex. Ford makes a great product, with lots of bells and whistles and the cabin is roomy. They also offer great/long warranties so the when you go in for your regularly scheduled maintenance you don't need to open your wallet at all! I own a Mercedes GLK350 which I really like but unlike Ford, the maintenance is high. Have not had any problems with it at all but whenever I go in for my regular maintenance I cringe when I get the bill. |

Yuck |
| But what if she also is surprising you with an expensive gift, and rents out your parking spot to afford it? |
Assume pp means grand |
someone's been watching It's a Wonderful Life! |
| Vulgar. |
| I think that nice without too flashy lands you in soccer mom terrritory. I think you need a little flash to make it work. Agree with Cayenne. |
+1. We're an Acura family, but the MDX feels too soccer mom. You need some flash. So this, or maybe the Tesla? |
| So, the DW is 29. How old is OP, 55? $ugar daddy. |
| Another vote for a Tesla. Or a Subaru Crosstrek |
No! It's O Henry, "Gift of the Magi" |
