A funny pattern I'm noticing with FB republicans

He rebuffed the Republican establishment as well as the media establishment (Fox, CNN, ABC, CNN you name it). IF he had needed RNC funds or christian coalition funds, he wouldn't have been about to take the positions he did. So yes, I wish he had a cleaner, kinder mouth. Yes I really do. But that brings me to my final point. Hillary Clinton was a deeply and fundamentally flawed candidate. She is not particularly likable. The main things she has in her favor are her intelligence and her experience. And both of those attributes make her behavior with regard to the emails and the Clinton foundation completely unacceptable. Since she is very smart, it leaves people with the conclusion that she is corrupt. Many democrats and liberals seemed able to turn a blind eye to those negatives. But exit polls showed that many people found both candidates lacked the character to be president. Among those people, about %70 broke for trump. So for me, that is validation that not only was she too corrupt but also that her message didn't resonant.

Americans are generous people and proud of our country and yet people who just want to earn good living and be able to save were told they were bigots and racists if they didn't embrace unfettered open borders and an influx of refugees. The chattering class (among which you are) all nodded with one another about how ridiculous Trump was and how awful his supporters were and that just drove us underground. We didn't talk about our views with friends or work or on Facebook. We just kept quiet because we didn't want to be called hurtful names and we didn't want to end friendships.

I think the lesson for democrats is that by constantly berating the views of others, they have become the closed minded hate mongers they purport to hate. They hate trump. They hate his supports. They are "afraid" of the racists and bigots. Then they turn around and pander to the hispanic vote and black vote and slice and dice Americans by race and gender and education level. It is horrible balkanization and it didn't work. Stop talking about being open minded and start acting it. Stop calling people racists and ask the what policies Trump espouses that they support. When asked why you support Obama or Clinton, stop telling us that Trump is a racist. Start actually explaining why millions of additional unskilled labor is needed in a country with tons of unemployment. Why is Obamacare better when premiums are through the roof. Why is "free trade" better when China dumps its stuff on our market but does't buy from us. Why?

Thank you for this well thought out response. It says perfectly what so many feel. But it's wasted here. You took all this time and effort to put your thoughts together like this and you're being replied to with rude one-liners. They just want to come here and gripe amongst themselves like it's therapy.
