Tasker MS in Bowie sucks and I do not think the other MS is much better.
Based on what?

Is it because it is a good school? If you lived in PG would you use the public schools?

Nope!

I understand your desire to avoid horrible schools (that happen to be black-majority).

I hope you understand when whites/ latinos/ asians do the same? Or do you think they are "racist"?

In PG, yes.

We're AA and we moved to MoCo instead of PG because we wanted the option of a good school district. So far, MCPS and Montgomery county as a whole have been a good fit for our two children.

Where in MCPS are you?

In an area where we like the neighborhood and the schools.

Which is...?

A coworker told me that if his neighbors' kids don't get into Roosevelt HS (which I'm assuming is a magnet program) they go to the Catholic school route.

Many of the posters on this site like to sh*t on anywhere that isn't white and rich by DCUM standards, since they're too chicken to do it in person. I just don't feel like playing that game tonight, so I apologize for not really being helpful.

We're in the central part of the county.

This board is just a reflection of the real world, holding your hands over your ears doesn't change the worlds opinion of things.

^^^ Actually, in the real world there are social consequences for racist assholery, which is why folks only engage in that pastime on the web.

Not the PP that said it's unhelpful, but I'm the one who asked where in MCPS are you. I'm the other AA poster that said I didn't have any regrets sending my kids to MCPS so I was curious as to where you were.

Where the schools are likely more white or asian , lower FARMS, and better test scores.
