I wondered that too but I doubt it. |
That was my very first thought. My second is that they were selling drugs themselves, got a bad batch at the end (or received one, by people who wanted to cut off any association/witnesses/proof.) |
Interesting theory. I think I'd play it that way. |
No one stays in the Maia to sell drugs. |
I assumed they were poisoned. |
I think they were poisoned by insecticide. Look at this review on tripadvisor who was there the same time as the sisters:

Remember those two brothers who were poisoned at a resort in the Virgin Islands last year? They think it was pesticides also.
http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/10/us/virgin-islands-pesticide-investigation/ Another thought, had the sisters been scuba diving at all? |
I kind of thought maybe this. My heart goes out to their family. What a horrible thing to lose a pair of sisters like that. |
But to even ask is in such poor taste. |
There was a thread about this earlier today. I think the authorities are hiding something. |
SCUBA diving complications |
I think it was deleted. |
I actually think it is not going to be drugs. What are the odds they both would overdose? Seems like accidental, poisoning.

Lots of speculation here.
Very interesting theories too. It is very mind-boggling at best. I cannot wait for the autopsy results to come in. |
