People are hating because she's linked to the Kardashians. And that's not really fair. She's pretty, has a model's figure, and is doing well in the industry.

I realize she's not everyone's cup of tea, but neither were the supermodels back in the day. I always thought Kate Moss looked rather ordinary. I always thought Cindy Crawford and Elle McPherson were gorgeous, but they weren't very model-y (more "hot girl nextdoor" than anorexic heroin-chic glamazon).

Are you thinking of Gigi? She does not have a runway model's body and was bullied for it. I would say Kendall is doing well in spite of her family, not because of it. I think she makes the most of the models listed by the OP and is the model most suited for runway.

NP here and the bolded is why I can't get on the Kendall Jenner train. She is beautiful, but is so boring! The supermodels of yesteryear had a spark about them that truly elevated them from a working model. Gigi is not as beautiful but at least she's not like a wet rag.

I don't think the ones you mentioned would have made it on their own. The Baldwin, Depp and Jagger girls are butter face. Cindy's girl is not exactly the chip off the block. Not at all stunning like the mom. Hadid girls are not that special. They made it due to their connections. Only one that could have made it on her own merits is Kendall Jenner.

I agree that the children of celebrities thing is getting old. I also agree with PPs who think Kendall fits into the industry despite her family's connections.

However, I doubt she would be a successful model without those connection. There are lots of tall, beautiful women in the world who fit the physical profile of being a successful model.
