Anyone follow local designer Lauren Liess?

It looks nice, but doesn't seem very livable.

I was going to say the same thing. I think most of the "wow" factor that people see is the staging.

The five billion flushmount fixtures in the kitchen & family room: WHYYYY?

I thought I was the only person who hated that.

I love what she did with the little library room, especially how she closed it off from the living room. I would make that my woman cave!

I also love the new exterior look but inside I think she went overboard with the painted floors. And that sea of lights in the kitchen and fam room is too much. All I can think is having to always replace bulbs that match and then what happens when those bulbs are discontinued?

OMG! I looked at this house last summer when it was on the market!! I thought it was a great deal (my husband wouldn't touch it because of the retaining wall and the fact that it is on a pipe stem). But I'm really surprised by how much more they are selling it for this summer... that's an enormous jump. It actually has a very awkward pipe stem location, it's sort of located sideways on the street and looks a little crammed in, if anyone else has seen it in person. The funny thing is that it was in pretty good shape before she bought it - not a mess at all. It will be interesting to see what she gets for it!

It's like a runway.

I have to agree....Initially I looked at the kitchen and went wow! Then I stopped and looked, and thought, that would be a really hard kitchen to work with.

Guests come into the house...

"TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF! DO IT DO IT DO IT!"

Can you even imagine what that white floor would look like after a party?

I am in awe of her having so many children in such a short time, and then buying and reselling houses as quickly as she does. I wonder if flipping with writing on the side is becoming her main thing?

I consider her to be talented, but mostly very VERY lucky in that her blog got the recognition it did.

Why do you think it was lucky?

Yeah, that kitchen doesn't exactly have a work triangle.

I love the way it's decorated, especially the art. I'm 50/50 on the flushmounts as recessed lighting.

Can't believe they still have popcorn ceilings in the family room (the room with the kids tent). I laugh because I know mine still does but it's funny when everything else has been renovated.

The kitchen lighting is ridiculous. The furnishings are ugly. What's with all the skulls?

I don't understand how kids live there. It's so museum-like in a rustic way in the living spaces, and very austere in the kids' spaces.

Follow her and love her work!
