Most of them are in my experience. No advice, OP, other than keep trying to push bike shorts. |
lol whose isn't!? My 2.5 year old is now 90% potty trained, even at night and naps. |
Why is this an issue? My son "trained" himself by 2.5 years. |
I've been there. My boy is straight up and down with nothing to keep the shorts up -- or the undies, for that matter! My best solution is to keep his shirts long and covering up his waistline. |
| Big difference between a brief flash ( no big deal) and a kid with her dress wrapped around her head. |

At what age do you tell your daughter to sit with her knees together? I am not a prude but remember being told to do so all the time by my mom. I don't want to shame my daughter. She's only an infant now but I'm thinking ahead.
We had a family friend come over and the girl (8, going into 3rd grade) sat on the couch spread eagle: sitting up, feet planted on cushions about shoulder width, knees spread. She was wearing shorts. I definitely would've been corrected to not sit like that. The mother said nothing. What do you do say? |
Mine. She turned three in May and is toilet trained. |
| It was a joke, folks. But mark my words, in 10-20 years, it will be unironic. Just like a couple generations ago, people would be shocked at a 2 year old who was not potty trained. |
| Who calls little girl underwear panties?!? |
A lot of people. Also, "undies". |
I do. From reading here I've gathered there are some who hate that word, but I use it. |
Very weird. |
| Yesterday my almost 4 year old was frustrated and for some reason her response was to pull the skirt of her dress up over her head and stomp her foot. I said "sweet pea, please don't show your undies" but no one in the grocery store seemed to care at all. |
If you wouldn't tell your son not to sit with his feet planted shoulder width, etc, don't tell your daughter to, either. Let her take up space in the world! |

Kindergarten.
My girls didn't like shorts under dresses either, so we switched to skorts. They got used to them and now that they are schoolage are mostly into shorts/jeans. |
