Define the Dating Leagues?

What league do you fall under?

What about your spouse?

Are you evenly matched? Why or why not?

Has anyone here dated/married "out" of their league?

OP, here's the thing: generally, long term couples balance each other out. If you think one member of the couple is so (fill in the asset here - "good looking" "smart" rich", whatever.....), then you better also know that for every obvious asset, the other member has an invisible asset. That is how long term couples survive. There is always leverage of some sort. Example: If you are flirting with him because you think it is his money - you might be sorely surprised to find out the money is all hers. Enjoy!

There is always an intangible offered that makes the couple more equal, in the end. There is always leverage, in every long term couple I know.

What "league" are you actually concerned about, OP? Long term couples are about much, much more than mutual physical attraction. How old are you?

Well, there is the justice league. And the bowling league. And the softball league.

And let's not get started with the guilds.

I think people pretty much find their level.

My father in law is a first generation college graduate. His son who only attended college for a semester married a girl who got her associate's degree long after they were married; his sons with graduate degrees each married a woman with an equivalent graduate degree. It's not about looks or social class, it's about education.
