Unless there is something new going on, it sounds like she didn't like the way she found out that Michael Strahan was leaving the show.

I didn't know the thing about her and Regis. They seemed to get along on TV and in the commercials but guess that's all in front of the camera.

I think the network's thinking was more about saving Good Morning America with a popular personality. Its ratings are lagging.

I'm sure they decided not to tell Ripa because she would have managed to keep him on Live. Either way, she didn't have a choice in the matter, when the fact is that she's been absolutely essential to the success of the show. A big part of its success is the chemistry between the hosts. Strahan was an unorthodox pairing but she pushed for him and it worked. It's like taking a risk in your job, having it pay off really well for your employer, and then having it pulled out from underneath. She has every reason to be angry about it.

What happened to GMA? I remember them having a huge celebration just a couple of years ago because they had finally beaten Today in the ratings.

I know Kelly. She is nothing at all like the nasty gossipmongers would have you believe and everyone at LIVE is on her side here. Strahan would never have gotten the job if it weren't for Kelly. Seeing as his way of thanking her was to turn around and behave like an egotistical, dismissive, disrespectful asshole a year later, it's amazing that she's the one being bashed.

It has been reported that Kelly and Michael S did not get along so why would Michael be inclined to tell Kelly he was leaving the show?? When you change jobs, do you tell those around you before your boss? I didn't. We have all been at jobs where we have been snubbed/disrespected etc. You have 2 choices: deal with it or leave. Complaining in a magazine article will not help her case.

So, I am to believe in that the folks here would not take a payhike from their upper management. Hmmmm. Anyone who watched the show could sense their tension even months ago. Why would he tell HER if they wanted to handle it otherwise? Her beef should be with them, not Michael. And who exactly is the Freedom message for? She's classless.
