I'm not sure that I get what you're trying to say, but Bill Maher is ridiculously anti-Muslim. |
|
Bill maher is anti-religion. He's equal opportunity.
I don't think he's ridiculously anti-Muslim - I have seen him do great interviews with people who are just trying to point out some of the things that are wrong with governments in the Muslim world, many of them dealing with the rights of women (or lack thereof). |
The OP was mocking the hypocrisy of Jonathan Leibowitz. I just wanted to add Bill Maher also agreed with some positions of a certain candidate they are all making fun of. |
Daily show and Colbert report watchers were better informed than your average citizen-look it up. Most watchers are well educated and got their news from multiple sources. They may just be comedians, but they and their staffs were absolutely great at opposition-type research and pointing out major hypocrisies in our system. I would not have made it through the bush years without them - because if you couldn't laugh, you would most definitely curl up in a ball and cry. |
| Jon Stewart said Trump is a "man baby." I thought that was apt. |
Actually the problem is people like you who follow the political elites grinding their agenda out on cable talk shows. Thinking that shit is any but prepackaged bread and circuses shows how uninformed people are. Castigat ridendo mores. |
You are going to have to show a history of that and not repeat everything the media says. Trump has many women and minorities in positions of power within his corporations. Is slut shamming misogyny? What about passing laws that disproportionately incarcerated minorities during a drug epidemic..is that racist? Oh so I guess you are not going vote for Hillary because she sure as hell slut shamed and destoried the life of many women who had consensal or nonconsensual sex with her husband. She also supported and help push through laws that incarcerated the majority of the male black population instead of treating it as a health crisis. It just goes to show the point, you don't care about the issues only the personalities. |
You and me then. That's two votes
How do we make this happen? |
| I wish we could make it happen, but they have both made it quite clear that they don't actually want to run for office. |
If she "sure as hell" did this, how come none of you can point to any evidence of this? |
It's OK. For those who are missing Jon, I have found that much better substitutes are Samantha Bee and Seth Meyers. |
Yes, I have heard this. The most noble men and women do not want power and the burden that comes with it. The ones who want power are crazy or greedy. |
John Oliver |
I keep hearing this/seeing it being asserted. Can anyone provide any evidence of this? I was obviously much younger in the late 90s, but I feel like I was old enough that I would have remembered it. |
| In Stewart's absence I've started enjoying Full Frontal with Samatha Bee. |
