Easy protein-y breakfast for teen boy

Atkins also has frozen breakfast sandwiches although I prefer the frozen scrambled eggs (bacon/cheese or garden).

Whisk an egg or two and put it in an oiled ramekin. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top and put in a toasted English muffin, or between two slices of toasted whole-wheat bread.

Put one up of whole milk in a four-cup Pyrex measuring cup and add a half-cup of quick-cooking oats. Microwave for three minutes on High. Add chopped walnuts, dates, and cinnamon and a little bit of sugar.

Whisk two eggs and put in a hot nonstick small saute pan. Turn up edges with a spatula to spread out/cook egg. Add shredded cheese and prosciutto or ham on top, fold, cook a bit more on low.

Make a quiche on Sunday. He can microwave individual pieces during the week - 30-45 seconds.

You, together, can make up some breakfast burritos on the weekend and put them in the freezer.

I have a couple friends who have one of those breakfast sandwich maker, and they love it. He might think it's fun.

I was going to suggest this as well. My teenage girls use it often - it's a nice little machine.

I buy whole wheat tortillas, grate a little cheese on top (cheddar or jack, usually), microwave it, then roll it up and eat it. Super fast and reasonably healthy.

A minute longer: toast an english muffin with a slice of mozzarella on top (you can tell him it's like a pizza!).

Van's Power Grain frozen waffles have 10g of protein. I'm under no illusions that they are super healthy, but it's better than sugary cereal and I bet an easier sell than eggs. https://www.vansfoods.com/our-products-waffles# These are tasty.

Kashi also has some high protein cereals, not sure if he would go for them. I like Go Lean Crunch if I add a banana or some berries, but I'm not sure a teenage boy would go for it.

Overnight oatmeal?

what about those Atkins protein shakes. He could drink those with his cereal or add it to the cereal instead of milk. It'll give him the added protein.

He could have a low carb pita stuffed with protein - egg salad, turkey and swiss, bacon/egg. Whatever sounds good to him.

my kids eat turkey bacon and he could eat that with cereal so he also gets protein

I have to say that a lot of these suggestions are not going to appeal to a kid who only likes sugared cereal.

Omelette muffins whisk 12 eggs with a little whole milk and spices/ pour evenly in muffin pans with some crumbled chicken sausage and cheese. Bake at 350 until set.

an egg cracked into a mug, scrambled and microwaved is an awful, rubbery way to eat an egg.

Make him bacon and egg muffins with a little veggie thrown in. Then he can shove one muffin in his mouth on the way out the door and palm another one to stuff in his face on the way to school.

You can bake a week's worth together on the weekend.

Evol breakfast burritos, 1.5 minutes in the microwave.
