Seriously? This is unexpected on what I thought was a progressive forum.

The best way I have heard to explain it is this-- yes, it goes without saying that all houses matter. But if one house is on fire, you are going to work to save that house. You're going to pay more attention to that house until it is saved. That house gets more resources for the moment, even if the other houses have to a bit, because they aren't on fire. Things aren't desperate for those houses.

All lives matter, obviously.

But the BLM movement is important and necessary because a group of people needs more attention, care, protection, and rights that other "lives" may take for granted.

Actually that is incorrect. That is the first time that BLM became a household name and the MSM cared about it - but BLM was actually doing things before that.

And actually that is not what BLM wants at all. I am not a BLM member myself as I do find some of their tactics extreme. But given the inherent power that LEO's have, I see no problem in holding them to a high standard and holding them accountable for coming up short. They are not always right.
