Part of American culture. Find someone else. There are a ton of women who do not care and plenty of beta males not into sports. Good luck

It's not, actually. It's people who haven't grown up watching school teams full of entitled young men.

If you don't get it, you don't get it.

Word, PP. Rock Chalk!

OP, I love college basketball. March madness is my one thing. Otherwise I am on it, dinner every night, laundry, daycare pick up and drop off, homework, you name it-I do it. But just give me March. My wife understands. If you don't you might want to find someone else.

By supporting match madness, you are being a modern day indirect plantation owner. Thanks for contributing to exploitation.

I don't get this either.. But it's a harmless obsession

No. Beta males are all about sports. Alpha males are the actual athletes.. Or men obsessed about their business empire and only go to watch big stuff - like the Superbowl. Or hockey playoffs in a private box, where they kinda pay attention but mostly drink with their colleagues.

I am a 52 yo guy. I like sports. I like watching the competition where you don't know the outcomes. It is exciting.

Growing up, I was about Football and Basketball. Now, I have cooled on basketball, except for the NCAA tournament. Baseball/softball has grown on me after I coached my DD's softball team, as have soccer.

Football is waining for me...I will watch it if I am home, but frankly the concussion issues have turned me off, that and Dan Snyder.

However, I am obsessed with my baseball team. And they are looking good this spring.

I will probably watch 140 of the 162 games, either live or on TV.

Me neither, but this seems to be common. DH watches stuff once in a while, but he is far less obsessed with sports than most men I know. I think I lucked out. I dated guys and were friends with women who were into sports big time. Meh. Boooooring.

LOL. I bet you also prattle in about right brain/left brain thinkers and Type A/Type B personalities. Have fun with your false dichotomies!

LOL I always wonder why the rest of the alphabetti spaghetti gets left out. There are things that DCUM seems obsessed about, like Alpha/Beta and infidelity. Sometimes I think it's just a few very active posters here.

Lmao dump him them. What's with all these people complaining? Can't he have one hobby/interest? What would you rather he do, stare at you all night? Get interested. You want him to be interested in YOUR things, be interested in his. If not, go find someone who likes boring things too.

I can't imagine not being with someone who doesn't love sports. My boyfriend loves almost every sport and is very knowledgeable. He's smart and passionate. I too love sports and I went to a D1 college. Its one of our common interests.

MARCH MADNESS IS THE BEST

Ha! Me, too!

OP, this is who he is and how he likes to spend his time. When you've been married for years and he's taking you for granted it will be worse. You need to either be ok with it, or move on.

Not all men are this into it, so it's possible to find one who isn't, like my husband who is obsessed with music instead.

I watch motocross, when I'm not racing motocross

Me too! This gives me time for my hobbies. And I know he is right there, at home, watching the game. I'm in the other room, or sometimes the same room, working on my "projects."

I guess we are both kind of homebodies. But when I do want to go out for book club or a movie with friends, if it's a game night, I know he will be home to watch the kids.
