Catholic Schools Releasing Admissions Today

The student-teacher ratios aren't much different than the public schools. And yes, these schools turn applicants away.

Not universally true about student-teacher ratios - Visi classes (usually 12-18 students, bigger for religion and a few others) are much smaller than our local public, which has 40 in some classes.

Do any who've been through admissions at SJC know if they email the student or parent or both with decision? Thanks!

Are you really stupid or just want to appear to be naïve?

Seriously? Okay, we get it, you don't like Catholic schools, but not everyone is accepted. Not even close to 99%. ?

This poster must be either an idiot or a pompous jerk.

SJC only mails their decisions. So does Gonzaga. Love the mystique of having to check the snail mailbox.

Please retread my response. They do NOT email. Only snail mail.

So when SJC and Gonzana say they will notify on 2/25 does that mean they put letters in the mail this afternoon?

How long does snail mail usually take? Is anyone in Virginia still waiting to receive mail that was sent out 2/19?

No. The letters are mailed on the 25th. At least that is what the Gonzaga website says. Try to relax--it is only a few more days. Good luck!

Argh...I thought we'd know by email. I'm glad I checked now or I would have been a wreck. Just checked last year's DCUM for when people heard and it seems most received word by mail on Saturday, so I imagine the same will hold true this year...or it will be a long time till Monday!

Gonzaga is extremely difficult to get into. SJC, not so much.
