I agree with previous posts about Ole Miss, Miami of Ohio, etc. There is also Tulane, Holy Cross, Davidson, Lehigh, College of Charleston in the mid-sized category.

Have you looked at smaller schools, OP? For instance, what about Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL? It is quite small, but is very preppy.

Hell no is he getting into Lehigh, Tulane, or Davidson with those stats. Not as familiar with Holy Cross, Spring Hill, or College of Charleston in terms of admission.

The Wall Street track at the SEC schools is pretty weak. The two year analyst programs are heavily biased toward the Ivies with only a relatively small minority recruited from state schools. On the other hand, a huge number of traders come from more rough and tumble blue collar backgrounds. The market makers and order execution firms that form the bulk of Wall Street personnel are stereotyped as crass, cigar-smoking, strip club going, casino betting bridge and tunnel types from Jersey and Long Island. But, these are guys pulling high six figure salaries with seven figure bonuses in good years.

Fordham is the source of a huge number of these folks. Nice, relatively non-political Catholic school close to the great checkered tablecloth restaurants on Arthur Avenue. Fordham has close to a 50% acceptance rate so your stats are probably close to the typical student. For the kind of jobs I'm talking about, it's easier getting in the door from Fordham than Harvard. A paleo-conservative would easily fit in well..

I am a Fordham alum, and if the OP is scared of liberal ideas, people of color, etc. he will NOT enjoy Fordham. Yes, it is Catholic but a very liberal Catholicism at that. And OP has stated he does not like diversity. He would probably have an aneurysm living in the Bronx.

I feel the need to say this, OP:

College is a time to challenge yourself. You shouldn't be so preoccupied with finding some place where your political paradigm is reinforced at every turn. You should welcome those who will challenge you and force you to think differently and consider other perspectives. Will it "convert" you? Sure, possibly. But it may also make you a better and stronger conservative.

You need to get OUT of your comfort zone, not actively seek a bubble.

I don't believe anything OP is saying on that thread. Go to Collegeconfidential and read the profiles of the rejections and deferrals for UVA class of 2020. Kids with amazing stats., scores and advanced placement courses got turned down.
